The Writings on the Wall

I’m a dork. A forgetful, live in the moment, swiss cheese brained dork.  And there’s no way around that at all.

Which is why I’ve decided that having a poster up on my wall with a list of things that need to get done on a semi-regular basis might be a good idea.  I’ve had success with putting signs on the wall before (”Don’t forget your keys, dumbass” was the best one in both working-ness and cool-ness), so I’m 99% sure that it’ll work.

The problem is figuring out what to put on the poster.  Some things like “Go to class” are so common that I don’t think they should take up space.  “Make your Winthrop payment” are important, but it doesn’t happen often enough to where I think it needs to be there.

Finding that balance is hard.  I’d love to have some ideas for what should go on there.  The only thing I know will be there now is “Update GnuCash” because there’s no point in having it if I don’t use it.

Return of the CD List

Some of you will probably remember how I used to have a CD list on Juggle Chainsaws, and how it got taken away when I stopped adding to it.  Well, it’s back.  Sort of.  It’s on a different site and has a lot more functionality.

Racks and Tags, along with Orange CD, have given me a place to display it.  And trust me, it’s a lot better than manually entering everything into a MySQL database.  I get just about everything I could ever want (adding lyrics to tracks would be great, or having it suck in the track times when adding something from Amazon), and it’s less work.

I’m sure a few people will think I was paid somehow for this.  But I wasn’t.  I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time.  Well, not the online display part.  That’s just a bonus.
